Every Day Is A New Beginning…

“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I over-stand.”

At TRAINING4LIFE, we believe that training the mind and body to work together is critical for successfully navigating through life and invigorating our spirit. When our mind, body and spirit are a total functioning unit, we gain confidence and increase our resilience to face life’s challenges. We are then able to experience more joy and contentment in our lives.

The demands of life can be difficult, particularly for those involved in certain professions: teachers, social workers, lawyers, doctors and other care givers. Even those who enjoy their work can feel the effects of stress over time. Professionals living in busy, fast-paced urban areas are often at risk for serious health problems such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and chronic fatigue syndrome.

STRESS: Our modern culture places great stressors on our lives. Even good stress is still stress and the way we manage it is critical to our overall well being. The effects of stress are both physical and psychological.. Signs of Stress can include: headache, muscle tension, chest pain, chronic fatigue, and change in sex drive, stomach upset, sleep problems and anxiety. Stress can also contribute to changes in our behaviour such as: overeating or under-eating, angry outbursts, drug or alcohol abuse and social withdrawal.

ILLNESS & TOXINS: In addition to the common germs and virus’ we are exposed to, we are also exposed to toxins from the environment and toxins produced by our own bodies. Our bodies need to be strong and trained to expel these toxins. Toxins are collected and expelled through organs such as the kidneys, liver and lungs.

HEAL YOUR BODY: The gentle rhythmic movements of Qi Gong, an ancient health care system, can reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. It can also benefit the cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions. Qi Gong can help with breathing and toxin Release. The human body is designed to discharge 70% of its toxins through correct breathing alone. Deep breathing clears out stagnant fluid and toxins in the lungs. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, respiratory disease was one of the top causes of death in 1993. The controlled breathing practices techniques used in Qi Gong can also help us gain control of our emotions.

HEAL YOUR MIND: Training4Life has several methods to help calm and refocus the mind: Guided Imagery: exploration of YOU in more depth. NLP: the practice of understanding and Timeline Therapy – which is a collection of techniques that help you gain emotional control over your life.
